Rashi comments that this reference that the Torah speaks of to that day is the sixth of the month of Sivan. Rashi's source is the Gamara in Shabbat 87a.

Just to the right of the Hebrew for On that day, Hashem spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, we find at skip 12 an ELS of the date, the 6th of Sivan. This is the second minimal skip for ו סיון. The probability that a text in the ELS random placement text population would produce a smaller area table than the one in the Torah is 5.5/10,000.
