Rashi comments that this reference that the Torah speaks of to that day
is the sixth of the month of Sivan. Rashi's source is the Gamara in Shabbat 87a.

Just to the right of the Hebrew for On that day, Hashem spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai,
we find
